Alan vs the Culture Vultures...

Arcade Tales is part of the Arcade Culture & Heritage project run by Alan Meades at Canterbury Christ Church University. The Arcade Tales comics bring community stories and memories of the arcades to life in comic form. These illustrations were for a comic called ‘Alan vs the Culture Vultures’ and tell us about a young boy who is taken to see the sights of Venice just as the new Street Fighter is released. Whilst checking into the hotel, he spots the new game sitting in the corner of the food area by the pool and is told by his parents that he can play on it if he is good during their visits. After being dragged reluctantly around Italy, little Alan finally gets his reward!
